Step 1- Start with your ponytail size
Grab your hair and pull it back, creating a ponytail. Next, encircle your fingers around the ponytail and gently lower your hand while keeping the initial measurements intact.
Now, what’s the circumference you’ve formed with your fingers? Compare it with the chart below, where we use coins for a visual representation, making it easy for you to make comparisons.
Step 2- What hairstyle will you be wearing?
Many women commonly opt for three basic styles: the ponytail, half-up, and tails-up or French twist. What’s your preferred everyday look?
If you choose a half-up hairstyle, think about sizing down by one from your ponytail size. For a French twist, it’s advisable to size up by one (or maybe two for those with long and thick hair).
Typically, the size for a tails-up is the same as your ponytail size for most individuals.
Step 3- What is your hair length and texture?
TThe necessary size for an updo hinges on this factor. When opting for a French twist, a simple increase of one size from your ponytail size is usually sufficient for most women.

- Mini– Our tiniest clip is designed for baby-fine hair or for pulling back a small amount of hair. If your ponytail falls into the extra-small category, the mini clip is recommended for creating a ‘Half-up’ style.
- Extra Small– The extra-small size is crafted for individuals with very fine hair who wish to create styles like the Ponytail and Tails-up. It also suits most women’s Half-ups in the small size range.
- Small clips are the most common size for a Ponytail, especially for those with fine hair. If you have thick hair and typically use a medium or large size for a Ponytail, you would opt for the small size when creating a Half-up.
- The medium is best for those with thick hair and want to do a Ponytail or a Tails Up. If your Ponytail is a small, the medium is great for a French Twist or Up & Down.
Largest sizes
- Large– If you have extremely thick hair, whether it’s wavy, curly, or straight, the large size is suitable for both a Ponytail or Tails Up.
